Every year, Canadian Valley Baptist Church sets aside a day for single moms in the Mustang/Yukon area. Not a program. Not a pitch. Just a morning where a mom can show up, exhale, and feel like someone actually thought about her. Single moms carry a lot. The full weight of parenting, the mental load, the juggle mostly alone, mostly without anyone stopping to say thank you. We want to be that stop.
This year, we’re keeping it personal. Instead of a large event, we’re reaching out directly to 40 moms we’ve had the privilege of connecting with. We’re inviting them to come by on May 30, have coffee, let their kids run on the playground, get prayed over if they want, and leave with a $50 Walmart gift card just because we wanted to do something real.
No tickets. No program. No agenda. Just a church that believes showing up for people is the whole point.
This event runs entirely on donations from people in this community who believe single moms deserve to feel seen. Every dollar goes directly into the moms into their hands in a way they can actually use.
